RBGC Traffic Light Update

From Friday 3 December, 2021, the NZ Government's new Covid-19 Protection Framework (aka Traffic Light system) is in place.

RBGC wish to advise all members and guests that, as of Friday, we will be following the Government mandates for hospitality businesses. The Wairarapa/Wellington region will be at the Orange alert level, and we must require all members & visitors (over the age of 12) who wish to use the Clubhouse be double vaccinated. Please rest assured, all our staff currently working on the premises are also fully vaccinated.

Our number one priority is the health, safety and wellbeing of all our members, our staff and the wider community.

Many of you have already responded to our recent Vaccination Consultation document. We are continuing to accept responses to this form until Friday, and are considering all feedback whilst drafting the official vaccination policy for the Club.

THE CLUBHOUSE

From Friday, it will be a requirement for anyone over the age of 12 years old to be double vaccinated and present a Vaccination Pass. We know this is a big change and a sensitive topic for some, so please remember that this is a Government requirement. If we don't do this, we cannot open.

When you arrive at the Clubhouse, please have your Covid Pass ready for verifying by our staff (use the main entrance door). Once you are inside the Clubhouse, we see a return to the 'good old days' with no restrictions. This means;

• No seating, distancing or table service required
• No limits on capacity
• You can order and pay at the bar as normal
• Mask wearing is not required, but it is recommended

Our cleaning and additional hygiene practices are still in place, and our staff will still be wearing masks until we receive further advice on this. Please continue to make use of the sanitizer located in the Clubhouse and scan in using the QR Covid Tracer app.

Please Note: Your purple Covid appointment card is not a Vaccine Pass. If you have not already done so, please get your Pass by following the instructions on the Covid-19 Website. It doesn't take long to do, and both the printed copy and the smartphone based scan code will be accepted. If you need assistance, you can call the helpline on 0800 222 478.

THE COURSE

While we wait for further clarification on the rules specific to Golf to be released, we do know that it is a permitted activity under the traffic light system.

Casual golf on our course can still be played by both vaccinated and unvaccinated players at Orange Level. Please continue to follow our own Club requirements as below;

• Book your tee time online (or via the DotGolf / GolfNZ app), this helps us manage our course load
• Continue to scan in using the Tracer QR code and use the sanitizer located on the property

XMAS CHEER UPDATE

Our Xmas Cheer golf tournament (open to Playing Members Only) is filling fast, so if you are wanting to play in this please ensure you get your name on the registration sheet.

With the new Traffic Light system, there are new requirements for gatherings and events. We have already capped the entries for this event at 100, but can now confirm that ALL entrants will need to present their Vaccine Pass for entry into this event.
