September Update

Hi members

Please see below for your September update. Still in Level 2, but thankfully the Government have relaxed the hospitality rules and we can now have 100 people in the Clubhouse (previously it has been 50). It's all positive! Please note that all other Level 2 rules are still applicable, the only change is to the Clubhouse limit.

- Remember to scan in using the Covid QR code or manually record your visit using the ballot box in the clubhouse

- Masks are required while in the Clubhouse, unless you are drinking/eating at your table

- Stay seated with your group, please don't move around unless you are going to the toilet or paying your tab at the end of your visit (you can approach the bar to do this)

- Our staff are providing table service, please be patient and give them a wave if you need anything

- Sanitize often and please stay home if you are sick

Meals are available, as usual, on Friday night from 5.30pm - 8.30pm. With the 100 person limit in place, you may have to wait until there is space for you to enter the CLubhouse. Committee members are on hand to manage the capacity and seating requirements.

Stay well and we will see you soon!

Committee Update

Karen Barbour, Club Captain

  • Thanks to Bec and the team for instigating once again all the COVID protocols for Level 2 (Delta), and members for accepting the reality of these in our club house. A lot of you I know are enjoying the table service but don’t get too used to it please!
  • Note that the dates for the club champs have changed due to the lock down and the finals day is now November 6th alongside the Shirley and Colin Simpson 27-hole stableford for those that did not make the finals. The completion dates for the matches was emailed earlier to relevant players.
  • The Grounds Committee have installed more irrigation and will shortly be purchasing and planting more Pohutukawa trees. We are once again offering the opportunity to purchase a tree and have a plaque in recognition. These remain at $100 each, please contact myself or Bec in the office if you are interested, we have 9 available for purchase.
  • The tennis court renovations are on track and plans are in progress for a Grand Opening, details will follow. There will be a QR code for the payment of court fees as part of the signage, this works the same as the Golf Club Green fees QR code in the entrance. Kate is looking for sponsors and volunteers to help for the Cork and Courts Tournament so if you are interested contact the office or Kate on [email protected]
  • This month two committee members have given their resignation, so we are looking for some new people. Full playing members are eligible to be on the committee, please consider putting your name forward. We are currently working on an information pack about the various tasks undertaken by the sub committees, so if you have an interest and want to look at what it entails let us know.
