Keeper of the Greens Scramble

The Keeper of the Greens Scramble is a pairs competition played during our regular club day slot on 18th May. Please arrive at 12.30pm to enter, with tee off at 1pm - it is open to all members (both playing & non-playing).
This trophy (mounted golf club) was presented to RBGC in memory of ‘Auld Daw’ Anderson, Keeper of the Greens on the Old Course, St Andrews Scotland 1840 – 1856
Presented by his great-great grandson Ash Lewis, Keeper of the Greens at Riversdale Beach Golf Club
The Polish Peoria calculation used at this tournament was developed by Mel Lewis another great great grandson of ‘Auld Daw’ Anderson and NZ PGA Professional.
Rules for Two-person Scramble – Keeper of the Greens
Handicaps are irrelevant – the Polish Peoria adjustment will create the team handicap
Both Players tee off, select the preferred ball, both play from that spot, repeat until the ball is holed.
Each Team members tee shot must be used 6 times
Both team members must putt before a second putt is taken as the first ball in the hole counts
