July Member Update

RBGC Member Update - June 2022

Brrr! Winter has finally arrived, but now the shortest day has been and gone we are on the up again. Looking forward to less mud and more sunshine. Despite the season, the course is in good condition and we are still getting fair weather to enjoy.

The Clubhouse and course are open over the Matariki weekend, our bar will be open at 4pm Friday - Sunday and meals will be served as normal on Friday night.

Club Championship Competitions

This is your last chance to enter the Club Champs, as closing date is 17th July. If you are not going to be at the Club to put your name up but still wish to enter, please email Vicki Molenaar (Head of Tournament & Match) on [email protected]

Tilson Salver Final

We are hosting this on Sunday 10th July. The course will be closed until lunch time to accommodate this event.

Women's 27 Hole Foursomes

Wednesday 20th July. The course will be closed until lunch time.

Services Club & Horseshoe Club Challenge

Recent Happenings & Committee Update

The Carrfields Cockies Classic was rescheduled due to the weather, but ended up being a well attended event on 27th May. Very well run and supported, many thanks to the Ladies Committee for the amazing catering and also to our major sponsor Carrfields.

Rebecca (AKA Becs) O'Neale, our Club Manager, is finishing up on Thursday 23rd June. We wish her well with her future endeavours and look forward to seeing Becs about the club in a non-official capacity. During Becs'5-year stint with us, she has ensured that the Club has grown and developed into an efficient, informed, well run and tech savvy club. You have left big shoes to fill, thanks for all your hard work Becs!

Thankfully, the Club is going into a quieter period of the year and this will hopefully allow the (yet to be appointed) new administrator / bar manager to find their feet.
